It is hard to be specific on the exact quantities of each type of game in the mix as it depends on what is in season and what is being shot in good quantities at any particular point in time. But normally the mix consists of around one third venison, one third pheasant and partridge, and a third pigeon and wild boar.

I have personally never made a pie but for a great casserole I recommend cooking the day before and heating it back up the following day.
